They're a very ambitious university...


Everything they've been doing recently, they've been doung big. And they are transforming Lynchburg in the process.

Liberty has more of an upside than ODU. If JMU made the jump to FBS, they might have as good, or better future than LU is looking at. But Liberty's ambition probably puts them over the top of a school like JMU (if JMU chose to jump up a level).

There are renderings of Williams Stadium in a horseshoe configuration that would hold about 45K. Not sure if those renderings are university initiatives or if it's Liberty alum dreaming. Either way, their campus has the space to do it and the university itself is gaining popularity more than any other university in the Commonwealth.

So it wouldn't surprise me if Williams stadium looked like Papa Johns Stadium and they were winning 10 games per year like BSU did when they were a start-up. You never know.
